Delete your account
You can delete your Notaito account and everything in it at any time. It cannot be undone, so export your notebook first if you want a copy.
In the app
- Open Notaito and sign in.
- Open Settings (the gear at the bottom left).
- Choose Export notebook if you want a copy of your notes, pictures and files.
- Choose Delete my account…, type your email address to confirm, and press Delete my account.
You are signed out on every device straight away.
Without the app
If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with and ask for your account to be deleted. We reply to confirm once it is done.
What is deleted
- Your notebook: every note, project, category and reference tab, including completed and deleted notes and earlier versions.
- Your pictures, PDFs and profile picture.
- Your reminders and the devices registered to receive them.
- Projects you shared, their share links, and the comments and activity in them.
- AI apps you connected, quick-capture keys, and your AI and voice usage records.
What stays
- Comments and changes you made in projects other people shared with you stay in their projects, shown as “A former member” instead of your email address.
- A record that an account with your internal ID was deleted, and when, so that old sign-ins stop working. It holds no email address and no notes.
- The database history the hosting provider keeps for recovering from mistakes, which expires within 30 days.
You can also remove Notaito’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
